Ola introduces S1X Electric Scooter at Rs. 79,999, with deliveries starting in December.

Ola Electric has unveiled its latest product, the S1X electric scooter, starting at Rs. 79,999. Simultaneously, the company has given a sneak peek into four upcoming electric motorcycle models, set to launch by late 2024.

S1X Electric Scooter Variants

The S1X scooter comes in three versions: the basic S1X with a 2KWh battery, another S1X with a 3KWh battery, and the S1X+ with enhanced connectivity and a 3KWh battery. Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO, and founder, revealed these details during a customer event at the Ola Future Factory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. For the first week, the introductory price for the S1X model with a 2KWh battery is Rs. 79,999, which will later adjust to Rs. 89,999.

Booking and Delivery Details

Booking is open for all variants, with deliveries starting in December. The base S1X model targets daily commuters covering 10-20 km.

The S1X version with a 3KWh battery starts at Rs. 89,999 for the first week, then adjusts to Rs. 99,999. This variant, like the others, is open for reservation, with deliveries starting in December.

The S1X+ edition, with advanced features, starts at Rs. 99,999 for the first week and then will be priced at Rs. 1,09,999. Orders for this model are open, and deliveries are expected by the end of September. Notably, the S1X variant boasts a range of 151 kilometers and a top speed of 90 km/h.

Aggarwal emphasized the shift from internal combustion engine (ICE) scooters, highlighting the cost-effectiveness of electric scooters. He reiterated the company’s commitment to advancing electrification.

Alongside the S1X models, Ola Electric introduced the second-generation S1Pro, priced at Rs. 1,47,499 (ex-showroom). Bookings are open, and deliveries begin in mid-September.

Ola Electric’s lineup now includes the S1X (2KWh), S1X (3KWh), S1X+, S1Air, and S1 Pro models, ranging from Rs. 89,999 to Rs. 1.47 lakh.

The event also showcased Ola Electric’s foray into the motorcycle segment, with the Diamondhead, Adventure, Roadster, and Cruiser electric motorcycles. These in-house-designed motorcycles are slated for global launch by late 2024.

Moreover, the company introduced the MoveOS4 update, featuring 100+ enhancements and more than 20 new features, including Ola Maps, hill descent, find my scooter, Geo, and time fencing.
