Google Pixel 8 Series: Expected Price In India
While Google hasn’t officially disclosed the Indian pricing for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, global prices have surfaced online. It’s expected that the Pixel 8 will kick off at $699 (approximately Rs 58,097), while the Pixel 8 Pro is likely to be priced around $899 (roughly Rs 74,720).
Pre-orders for these new Pixel models will begin on October 5, 2023, just a day after their global debut. They will be exclusively available through Flipkart.
Google Pixel 8 Series: Design, Features & Specifications
Both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro share an almost identical design, with the key difference being the camera setups. The Pixel 8 boasts a 50MP wide camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera, while the Pixel 8 Pro steps it up with a 50MP wide camera, 48MP ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto camera equipped with Super Rez Zoom, capable of zooming up to 30x.
Both phones feature slim bezels and a punch-hole notch design. According to leaks, the Pixel 8 might come with a 6.17-inch Full HD AMOLED display sporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2400×1080 pixel resolution. In contrast, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to flaunt a 6.7-inch OLED display with a higher resolution of 3120×1440 pixels.
Both models will incorporate a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, symmetrical bezels, and flat edges. They will both run on Android 14.
On the right edge, you’ll find the volume rocker and power buttons on both the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
Rumor has it that the back designs of both phones might differ. The Pixel 8 is anticipated to be available in Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose colors, while the Pixel 8 Pro will likely offer Obsidian, Porcelain, and Bay color options.
In terms of battery capacity, the Pixel 8 will pack a 4,575mAh battery with 27W fast charging support and 18W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro will come with a beefier 5,050mAh battery, support for 30W fast charging, and 23W wireless charging.
Both phones will offer a range of connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, and NFC.
