Prime Minister Modi Distributes 51,000 Job Letters via Video Conferencing
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute approximately 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals via video conferencing on September 26. These recruitments span across central government departments, state governments, and Union Territories.
Wide Range of Ministries and Departments
The 51,000 recruits will join various Ministries and Departments, including the Department of Posts, the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others. This job distribution event, known as the Rozgar Mela, will take place at 46 locations throughout the country.
Online Training Opportunity
The newly appointed individuals will have the opportunity to enhance their skills through the Karmayogi Prarambh program, an online module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. This portal offers access to more than 680 e-learning courses that can be accessed from any device and location.
Aiming to Tackle Unemployment
Prime Minister Modi initiated the ‘Rozgar Mela’ campaign on October 22 last year, to provide 10 lakh government jobs. According to Union Minister BL Verma, the government has already distributed job letters to 5.5 lakh youth since October of the previous year.
Fulfilling Vacancies in Security Forces
In August of this year, Minister Verma handed over appointment letters to 250 candidates selected for various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, and ITBP. The Rozgar Mela scheme is a key part of the government’s strategy to combat unemployment in the country.
Mission Recruitment in CAPFs
Through the Rozgar Mela event, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is recruiting personnel for various CAPFs, including CRPF, BSF, SSB, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, Narcotics Control Bureau, and Delhi Police. According to officials, the MHA has filled approximately one lakh posts through Mission Recruitment, with around 87,000 of these vacancies being filled within CAPFs.
